Walters exhibit showcases medieval missal used by St. Francis of Assisi at Archdiocese of Baltimore.
Not all the great Franciscan relics are in Assisi. This one is in our own backyard (for those of us on the East Coast). Well worth promoting throughout the Order in case people have a chance to get to Baltimore between now and May. (Sent to us by Justin Carisio)
Abigail Quandt, left, head of book and paper conservation at the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore, and Cathie Magee, Andrew W. Mellon Fellow, were part of a major conservation effort that preserved a 12th century manuscript known as the St. Francis Missal. (Courtesy Walters Art Museum)
