A three-part series for Franciscans on the great mysteries of Christ’s life will begin Saturday, May 14.
“The Crib, the Cross, the Eucharist: A Secular Franciscan Spirituality” will be presented at no charge via Zoom on May 14, June 11, and July 9. St. Bonaventure University in Bonaventure, NY, is hosting the series.
Attendees will learn about Francis’s devotion to the three realities, and how they became the foundational mysteries of the Franciscan movement.
All sessions will be from noon-2 p.m. EST.
Session 1 on May 14 will be led by Fr. Michael Reyes, OFM, artist-in-residence at St. Bonaventure University. He will discuss “The Crib: Unity.”
Session 2 on June 11 will be presented by Fr. Martin Bennett, OFM Cap., pastor of St. Michin’s Church in the Market’s Area of the north inner city of Dublin, Ireland. His topic is “The Cross: Humility.”
Session 3 on July 9 will be presented by Fr. Xavier Seubert, OFM, guardian of the St. Bonaventure Friary. Fr. Seubert will discuss “The Eucharist: Kenosis.”
