Why attend a “Q”? Article 7 of the National Statutes of the Secular Franciscan Order in the United States (OFSUSA) states that the “National Fraternity shall celebrate a National Congress at least once every five years.”
Calling all Secular Franciscans and Friends to our 2022 Quinquennial Congress. The National Executive Council (NEC) of the Secular Franciscan Order in the United States is pleased to announce registration for the 2022 Quinquennial Congress will open on August 1, 2021. The event is scheduled for August 2022 in Phoenix, Arizona.
With nearly two years to go to the Quinquennial Congress, where we will celebrate the 800th anniversary of our Secular Order, we are actively seeking dynamic presenters who will not only add to our body of Franciscan knowledge but also speak to our hearts to increase our Franciscan spirituality and call us continuously to conversion.
In less than four years Secular Franciscans will celebrate the 800th anniversary of the approval of our 1221 Rule. Happily, this special anniversary will coincide with our next Quinquennial Congress, scheduled for the summer of 2021.
