National Council of Hungary
1024 Budapest, Rómer Flóris u. 4.

Dear Members of the International Council,

Dear Brother Minister General,

Dear Brothers and Sisters from all around the World,

We fraternally invite you to the International Eucharistic Congress that will take place in Budapest, Hungary on 13-20 September, 2020.

Detailed information on the logistics and programme of the Congress can be found at and on the leaflets circulated in various languages. On the opening page, under the menu “The Event” you may find the programme of the Congress in a table format that helps you to easily orientate yourself. We recommend that you start with the overview of the programme.

You are requested to register to the Congress (top of the main page), the registration form is available in six languages. Some of the main events are completely free while for other events, participants need to pay an attendance fee. There are three main categories: clergy, individual, group & family. There is already a group for the Secular Franciscan Order.  Please, register as individual and send your registration code to us so that we can add you to this group.

The registration has already started. Before the registration it is important to read the Registration and Attendance Information Sheet ( The sooner you register the cheaper the fee will be. You may register to a variety of different programmes and for accommodation, but you do not need to fill in all information right now, you may adjust your profile later, as well. However, it is advisable to fill in the personal data because this will count as the date of registration so you
will be eligible for a lower fee. Please note that some of the free events also request that you register.

For Secular Franciscan brothers and sisters we offer a limited number of rooms (cca. 11 EUR / 12 USD per night) in a dormitory in Piliscsaba (about 35-40 minutes from Budapest city centre from where the Congress venue is easily accessible). This accommodation is offered to you on a first come first served basis. In case you are interested, please let us know by writing to the e-mail address below.

It would be a great joy for us to meet and assist all Secular Franciscans visiting the Congress and to celebrate together. Therefore, we kindly ask you to send us an email with your personal code after you registered to the Congress.
